What happens next?
Your application form will be reviewed and we may check the information provided with other agencies or ask you for further evidence. Once your application has been processed and made “live”, you will receive an email from HomeOption letting you know the number of points you have been awarded or which “priority band” fits your circumstances, then you can start bidding on available properties.
The level of points or your priority band helps councils work out your level of need for re-housing. The full details of the points scheme or priority band assessments can be found in the Allocations Policy of each council. These are available on request or can be accessed using the links below in the Other Useful Documentation section.
You must keep your council’s Housing team informed of any changes to your household, medical condition, housing situation or circumstances. This is very important as it could result in changing your priority or eligibility.
